Mr. Likongwe is a Mediator appointed by the Chief Justice under the Courts (Mandatory Mediation) Rules. Before any case goes for trial in the High Court, it must go for Mediation. Mr. Likongwe is one of the Mediators that conduct Mediation Sessions where the parties and their lawyers meet and seek to find an amicable settlement of their disputes. Some cases end at Mediation when the parties have agreed on a settlement of the case.
Mr. Likongwe is also an Arbitrator who has arbitrated in various cases including complex cases involving disputes running into over US$1 billion.
